Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has visited the family of late the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, on a condolence visit.
The spokesman of the governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, revealed the visit on Friday in a statement he issued to newsmen the same day.
According to Rasheed, Governor Adeleke was accompanied by the Commissioner for Federal Affairs, Hon. Nike Adeleke.
He said the Governor was received by the widow of the late General, Mariya Lagbaja, and top Officers of the Nigerian Army.
The State Governor signed a condolence register where he paid glowing tributes to the deceased, whom he described as “a great son of Nigeria and Osun State”.

A prayer session was also conducted with the Governor pledging full state support for the burial programme and the family after the burial.
