Kwara United player, Alfred Stephen, and officials who suffered various injuries in an accident on Wednesday have been discharged from the hospital.
According to the team’s media media officer, Waheed Bibire, Stephen, an official and their cameraman were injured in the accident.
Bibire’s words: “The injured player and officials have since been released from the hospital and they are back in Ilorin.
“The accident is a temporary set back but we remained focussed ahead of the league kick off.”
Bibire also informed that the club will unveil their new players on Thursday in Ilorin.
The Ilorin-based club were returning home from Bet9ja Nigeria National League Super Four competition, which ended on Tuesday, when their bus lost control.
The Harmony Boys secured promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League in August last year after spending two seasons in the cold.
Kwara United are scheduled to host Niger Tornadoes of Minna at home on Sunday in their match day one fixture of Nigeria Professional Football League.
