Peter Kishira, the Kwara State Deputy Governor, on Monday advised prospective Christian pilgrims from the state in 2016 to be good ambassadors during their spiritual engagement in Jerusalem.
Kishira spoke in Ilorin at a seminar for the prospective pilgrims to Israel.
The deputy governor, who was represented by the state Commissioner for Agriculture, Goke Bamidele, urged the pilgrims to conduct themselves properly and also to be security conscious.
According to him, pilgrimage to the Jerusalem should be for spiritual uplifment, hence the need for the pilgrims to desist from any act that could tarnish the image of the country.
The leader of the delegation, Dr. Adesina Julius, had earlier said that the seminar was organised to intimate the prospective pilgrims on the rights and wrongs in the Holy city.
The seminar featured lectures on unblemished and hitch-free pilgrimage exercise.
