Brazil 2014 World Cup Super Eagles’ gaffer, Stephen Keshi will sign a fresh contract before the three-time African champions’ Africa Nations Cup qualifiers double header clash against Sudan in October. The EagleOnline have gathered.
NFF General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu gave this assurance on Sunday.
“I have no doubt that he will sign new contract and I don’t even think he will return to USA. He will be coming back home and we will have sufficient time to iron out all these things.
“I know that it is critically important that the coach signs his contract to secure his future and know exactly what is due to him. I am sure we will be able to sort out those things before the next two games against Sudan,” Amadu assured.
The former Mali and Togo handler’s contract came to an end after the World Cup in Brazil and has not been renewed by NFF no thanks to the in-house crises that has engulfed the football house.
Nigeria are placed third in Group A’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying log behind Congo (6 points) and South Africa (4 points) and will face Sudan in their next round of qualifier in October.
