The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has been commended by the Keffi Old Boys Association of Government College, Keffi for appointing three of its members into various positions.
Umar Shittu, the State President of KOBA, gave the commendation when members of the association paid courtesy visits to the three members in their offices in Lafia on Friday.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the three members visited were Alhaji Musa Dan’Azumi, Dr. Egba Edego and Yusuf Musa.
Dan’Azumi has been appointed Chairman, Universal Basic Education Board; Edego, the Chief Medical Director, Hospital Management Board; and Musa the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information.
Shittu said the visit was also to thank the governor for appointing members of the association in to various government positions.
He urged the new appointees to continue to live above board for effective service delivery.
“We are here to congratulate you on your re-appointment as the state SUBEB chairman as we believed that your emergence for the second term was due to your success story,” he told Dan’Azumi.
At the Hospital Management Board, the KOBA President also urged the CMD, Dr. Egba Edego, to keep the flag flying by discharging his duties without fear or favour.
“Continue to make us proud by ensuring that you continue to deliver on the mandate given to you by His Excellency and for improved health status of the people of the state,” he said.
The KOBA president congratulated Musa, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, on his elevation and prayed God to bless him in his new office.
He said: “We want the name of KOBA to continue to be written in gold. We urge you to ensure effective service delivery while discharging your duties.”
He assured them of the association’s readiness to collaborate with the state government for an improved standard of education.
Also speaking, Sam Israel, the National Secretary of KOBA, urged the appointees to discharge their duties diligently and be good ambassadors.
Responding, Dan’Azumi, Edego and Musa promised not to fail in their duties.
