The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a 31-year-old suspect who specialises in breaking into people’s houses to steal valuables.
It was gathered that on Sunday, at about 8:39pm, based on a tip off, the Command succeeded in arrested the suspect when he broke into the house of once Zakari Dayyabu, behind KTTV Quarters, Katsina.
The suspect allegedly stole one Uniform Mattress valued N50,000, a LG Plasma Television valued N120,000, one Sumec Generator valued N72,000, one stabilizer valued N15,000, one Termer Cool Refrigerator valued N110,000, and one HP Laptop valued N120,000.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Gambo Isah, said in the course of investigation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the offence and all the items were recovered in his possession, with the exception of the HP Laptop computer.
Isah added that investigation was ongoing.
