Former Nigerian international, Kanu Nwankwo, has sent congratulatory message to legendary Arsene Wenger on his 70th birthday.
The French man and former Arsenal FC manager hit the mark of 70 on Monday and have received several birthday wishes from far and wide.
Kanu, who played 197 games and scored 44 goals for the North London club, hit the Twitter to congratulate the iconic gaffer.
“Happy 70th birthday and I wish you many more years to a great man, leader and father figure to many. Arsene Wenger. Thanks for the many great memories,” he wrote via his twitter handle @papilokanu.
Wenger, OBE, was born on October 22, 1949.
He was the manager of Arsenal from 1996 to 2018, where he was the longest-serving and most successful in the club’s history.
Wenger’s contribution to English football through changes to scouting, players’ training and diet regimens revitalised Arsenal and aided the globalisation of the sport in the 21st century.
