Alhaji Abba Yusuf, the Kano State Governor-elect, has approved a 65-member transition committee for the smooth take-off of his administration on May 29.

This was contained in a statement issued in Kano by his Chief Press Secretary, Bature Dawakin-Tofa, on Friday.

Dawakin-Tofa said the committee would be headed by Dr. Baffa Bichi, a former Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, while a retired Permanent Secretary, Abdullahi Musa, would serve as the Secretary.

He said that the committee would among other things facilitate the orderly transfer of power from the outgoing administration of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje to the incoming administration of Yusuf.

Dawakin-Tofa said that the governor-elect was expected to inaugurate the committee on April 1 in Kano.
