Seventeen persons were in the early hours of Sunday kidnapped in Kaduna State.
Those kidnapped included a pastor and his daughter in the Church.
The attack was carried out at the Evangelical Church Winning All.
The villages visited by the rampaging gunmen were Dankande and Dogon Dawa in Birnin Gwari local government area and Guguwa-Kwate village and Rigasa area in Igabi local government area of the state.
The Chairman of ECWA Zaria District Church Council, Rev. Nathaniel Waziri, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna.
Waziri said the gunmen stormed the Church while it was hosting a combined choir fellowship, which lasted Saturday night to the early hours of Sunday.
The statement reads: “The gunmen came and asked everyone in the church to surrender phones and thereafter demanded the whereabout of the pastor.
“After threatening the choristers, they became afraid and showed them the pastor’s house.
“They took him away and his daughter with 15 others amongst which is the son of the pastor of Assemblies of God Church.”
