The Chairman, Board of Directors of Kaduna Electric, the operator of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Dr. Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar, has bagged the old students distinguished awards of Sardauna Memorial College Old Boys Association.
A press statement by the Head, Corporate Communications of Kaduna Electric, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, disclosed that the award was conferred on the electricity boss during the golden jubilee celebration of the college held last Saturday in Kaduna.
The statement further revealed that Abubakar was honored by the College for his “wonderful contribution in the construction of a state of the art ICT laboratory for the school by the Nigerian Communications Commission where he served as a non Executive Director and for single handedly renovating the school assembly hall”.
A citation read in his honour at the occasion by the President of the National Executive Council of SAMOBA, Group Captain Manu Ibrahim (retd), described Abubakar as “the epitome of kindness and the embodiment of generosity, benevolence, compassion and impartial love for humanity who has touched so many lives, put smiles on many faces and lift so many down hidden members of the society”.
Abubakar, a 1982 alumni of Sardauna Memorial College, is a trained lawyer, teacher, seasoned administrator, accomplished businessman with vast experience at senior executive level in both the public and private sectors, and philanthropist of international standing.
