The All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State says its 255 ward executives have emerged through consensus in line with the party’s effort to promote unity among members.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Salisu Wusono, revealed this to the News Agency of Nigeria.
Wusono, who spoke in Kaduna on Saturday, said elections into all the 255 wards executives had been concluded through consensus without hitches.
He said: “In all the wards across the 23 local government areas in state, those aspiring for elective positions were brought together and in each ward the aspirants agreed and allowed the leaders to emerge through a consensus method.”
Wusono said the decision of the party was in line with the mandate of ensuring unity and victory at subsequent elections.
He said: “So far, there are no concerns raised from any quarters as I can confirm to you that the APC is one family.”
According to him, the list of the ward executives will be displayed for the public to know.
He congratulated the party members at the ward level for their support.
NAN reports that the APC is conducting its ward congresses nationwide to select executives who will in turn select the local government executives.
