Former National Chairman and the Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator
Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Iyiola Omisore, respectively, Tuesday visited presidential Villa, Abuja and met with President Bola Tinubu behind closed doors.
Recall that Adamu and Omisore resigned their positions as leaders of the APC early last week, ahead of the scheduled National Caucus and National Executive Council (NEC) meetings, which were to be held on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 July, respectively.

The two former leaders were allegedly compelled to resign positions.
The reason for the duo’s visit and meeting is not yet made public, still, it is believed that it must have been part of efforts to resolve issues surrounding the party’s leadership.
After the resignation, Senator Abubakar Kyari, who was Deputy National Chairman (North), was elevated as the Acting National Chairman.
