Members of the bronze winning Super Eagles team at the just ended African Nation Championship will be handsomely rewarded by the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, on Thursday for their feat in South Africa.
The Eagle Online gathered that N30 million will be doled out to the team.
The players will pocket N1 million each, the assistant coaches N1.5 million, while Head Coach Stephen Keshi will get N2 million.
However, a source close to the Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abudullahi, told The Eagle Online that the President, who was thrilled by the Super Eagles remarkable comeback against Morocco in a quarter-final match at the tournament, has not declared the amount he will give to the players.
No doubt, the players will be smiling to the banks having received fabulous bonuses during the tournament.
After their win against Morocco, The Eagle Online recalls, Abdullahi showered the team with $100,000 (about N17 million), the same amount they got in the semi final despite losing to Ghana.
