Ahead of the rescheduled general elections, President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday night met with candidates contesting the National Assembly seats from the North West on the platform of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party.
The meeting, still ongoing as at the time of filling this report, is holding behind closed doors at the State House New Banquet Hall.
President Jonathan last week kick-started series of meetings aimed at strategising ahead of the polls with PDP governors and governorship candidates.
The President is also billed to meet with candidates from other zones on Wednesday.
After meeting with the National Assembly candidates, President Jonathan is also expected to meet state Houses of Assembly candidates before the elections.
The presidential and national legislative elections are billed for March 28, while the governorship and state legislative elections hold on April 11.
