President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will on Thursday attend an Extra-Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire to discuss the current situation in Mali and Guinea-Bissau.
According to a statement by Jonathan’s spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati, a communiqué will be issued at the end of the one-day meeting, after which Jonathan will return to the country.
On April 30, Jonathan will also attend the 14th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Lake Chad Basin Commission in N’Djamena, Republic of Chad, to discuss the situation of the Lake.
Jonathan will return to Abuja on Monday after the adoption of a final communiqué by the commission.
