The weekly Federal Executive Council meeting has been cancelled for this Wednesday.
President Goodluck Jonathan directed the cancelation to honour Vice President Namadi Sambo, who lost his immediate younger brother, Yusuf, in a ghastly auto crash on Monday.
According to a statement by the Special Assistant (Media) to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sam Nwaobasi, the cancellation will enable Cabinet members attend the third day prayer.
Born in 1956, late Yusuf Sambo, who has since been buried at Apo cemetery in Abuja, died on Monday along the Bill Clinton Road, Abuja.
The deceased worked with the defunct Nigerian Airways and later with the Presidential Air Fleet before retiring.
He is survived by a wife and three daughters.
