President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Dr. Suleyman Abdu Ndanusa as the Chairman of the Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The appointment was announced by the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, in a statement by her Special Adviser, Paul Nwabuikwu.
According to the statement, other members of the SEC Board named as Executive Commissioners are Mallam Mounir Haliru Gwarzo, Mrs. Sa’adatu Mohammed Bello, Rt. Hon. Zakawanu Imhobobho Garuba, Barrister Adefunke Abiodun and Mr. Ugochukwu Ikemba.
Nwabuikwu said the appointments are in line with the provisions of Section 5 of the Investment and Securities Act 2007.
