January 9 Collective, a Lagos-based social-economic non-political group, has elected new executives to run the affairs of the association for the next two years.
The election, conducted in Lagos, saw marketing guru, Akin Adeoya, emerge as its new Captain.
Adeoya will be taking over from Wole Oladunjoye, a top Marketing Communications executive.
Other executives elected and sworn in on Sunday were Loye Amzat, Vice Captain; Abiodun Osinobosi, General Secretary; Prince Yemi Aseperi, Social secretary; Sola Fajobi, Membership and Mobilisation Secretary; Olumide Adeyemi, Financial Secretary; and Wale Ewedemi as Assistant General secretary.
The swearing in was conducted by Yebi Adollo, Principal Counsel, Lex Chambers.
Speaking after taking the oath office, Adeoya charged members of the Collective to join hands with the new executive to deliver the objectives of the association.
He specifically charged members to invite like-minds to join the Collective as the association is growing in leap and bounds.
J9C is a group of.professionals from different walks of life formed in 2012 and famous for its January lecture series that has featured such guest speakers as Akinwunmi Ambode, Tunde Fowler, Jimi Agbaje, Ayo Teriba, Engr. Segun Oni, Prof. Anthony Kila and Ndidi Nwuneli.
