Nigeria and Everton FC midfielder, Alex Iwobi, is set to return to action after a few weeks on the sideline due to injury layoff.
The former Arsenal player via his Instagram page wrote: “Back soon.”
The Nigeria international was taken off in the 11th minute against former club Arsenal last month with a hamstring injury, and he has been absent ever since.
However, the 23-year-old’s latest update suggests he could be return to the pitch in the near future, which will be a boost for manager Carlo Ancelotti who has barely seen the £34 million addition in action.
Iwobi has hardly hit the ground running since his move to Goodison Park either, scoring two goals and providing one assist in 20 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit.
Iwobi has previously said he prefers to play through the middle in more of a No.10 role, but if Ancelotti sticks with the 4-4-2 system that brought three points against Brighton on Saturday, it will be difficult for that to happen.
