The Christian Association of Nigeria, Niger State Chapter on Friday called on local churches and all Christians to faithfully observe the three days of prayer and fasting that holds from January 31 to February 2, 2020.
This is in line with directives from the national body of CAN, which admonished all Nigerians to join hands for God to heal the land.
In a statement signed by the state CAN Chairman, Rev. Mathias Echioda, and made available to our Correspondent, the essence of the event is to pray to God for an end to the challenges that have bedeviled Nigeria.
According to Echioda: “We’re praying that God would save Nigeria, and Christians in particular, from being consumed by insurgents, terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and ritualists all over our Country.
“On Sunday (2nd February), there will be JOINT prayers at a particular Church venue as announced by each Local Government CAN Coordinator and Zonal Coordinators.”
He further stated that those in Chanchaga and Bosso Local Governments will meet at ECWA Goodnews Church between the General Post Office and Kure Market, Minna.
The one hour prayer meeting will be between 3pm and 4pm.
