The Independent National Election Commission on Wednesday inaugurated a 12-member committee to produce a comprehensive report on the recently concluded 2015 general election.
The committee is headed by the National Commissioner in charge of the Information and Voter Education, Dr. Chris O. Iyimoga.
It was inaugurated by the Commission’s Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega.
While inaugurating the committee, Jega charged its members to produce an excellent report on the polls before June 30, 2015, which marks the end of tenure of the present Commission.
The INEC chairman tasked the members of the Committee to give their full commitment to the job ahead.
He assured them of the Commission’s full support in order to facilitate effective execution of the assignment.
In his response, Iyimoga appreciated the Commission for the opportunity to serve and expressed confidence that the members of the Committee, given their pedigree, would produce an excellent report within the time frame given.
