The Independent National Electoral Commission has postponed the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards in Kaduna State, earlier scheduled to start on December 6.
This was contained in a statement issued by INEC Commissioner in the state, Alhaji Aliyu Tambuwal, in Kaduna on Saturday.
It stated that the PVC distribution would now hold from December 8 to 12, while for the Continuous Voter Registration, the exercise would be from December 12 to 17.
The statement stated that INEC regretted any convenience the postponement would cost Kaduna State residents.
According to the statement, the postponement is to give the INEC time to address logistic problems that can impede on a hitch-free exercise ahead of 2015 general elections.
