The Independent National Electoral Commission has said there will be no fresh gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
Rather, it will go with the result of the gubernatorial election conducted in the state last month.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the election, Captain Idris Wada, won.
However, for other states where the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that the governors had overstayed their tenures, the commission has fixed dates for gubernatorial elections there.
For Adamawa State, it is February 4; Bayelsa State, February 11; Cross River State, February 25; and Sokoto State, February 18.
The commission took the decisions today at a meeting of its Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, and the commissioners.
