The Nasarawa State House of Assembly is putting finishing touches to serving the state Governor, Alhaji Umar Tanko Al-Makura, his notice of impeachment through the media.
It was learnt that efforts by the Clerk of the Assembly, Ego Maikeffi Abashe, to serve the notice on Al-Makura personally has so far failed.
The House announced the plan to impeach the embattled governor on Monday.
Abashe told newsmen in his office that the attempts he had made so far to serve the governor failed.
He said he was prevented by security personnel at the gate of the Nasarawa State Government House, Lafia, from gaining entrance.
He said owing to this, the House would have no other choice but to serve the impeachment notice through the media.
