The Imo State Government has assured the people that the road revolution in the State will continue.
It said this was to ensure easy movement of goods and services, greater cooperation among different localities and to ultimately attract investments to the State.
The Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, stated this on Wednesday when he went on inspection of roads in the three local governments in Mbaise Nation.
Madumere, who said he came on the inspection on the mandate of Governor Rochas Okorocha after the traditional rulers and the leaders of the communities in Mbaise, led by Eze Eze Chidubem Okoro, recently made presentations to the Governor concerning the state of some of the major ring roads in the area.
He assured them that the Okorocha-led government will continue to provide social services to the people of the state and called on the people of the area to continue to support the present administration.
Earlier in a colourful boundary reception, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ndi-Eze, Owerri zone, His Royal Highness, Eze Chidubem Okoro, expressed gladness for government’s rapid response to their cry through Prince Madumere’s visit.
Okoro assured the number two citizen of the State that the people of the area will continue to support the Okorocha-led administration because they have benefitted immensely from the government.
Madumere was accompanied by Hon. Josephine Udorji, Hon. Law Ezeruo, who are the Commissioners for Works and Transport, Land, Survey and Urban Development respectively.
Also on the tour with Madumere was Hon. Iyke Njoku, the Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor.
