Kelechi Iheanacho is in contention to make their full Leicester City debuts at Huddersfield Town, manager Craig Shakespeare has said.
The summer signing picked up injury in pre-season but came through the under-23s’ win over West Ham United on Monday night at the King Power Stadium.
Iheanacho, who picked up a toe injury in the pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach but has appeared for City as a substitute this season, played 80 minutes and was also on target.
Shakespeare said the player’s conditioning would now be assessed ahead of the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium before he made a decision whether to give them their first starts for City.
He said: “Thankfully most of them have come through the game.”
“Kelechi has a clean bill of health.
“All I have to do is make sure their conditioning is right.
“When he starts a game he has to be ready to get though 70-80 minutes.”
