IGP names new CPs for 21 states

Ahead of 2015 general elections, the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, on Monday released the postings of 21 Commissioners of Police to preside over State Commands.

According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, the deployment is in line with the determination and drive to reposition the Nigeria Police Force for improved service delivery.

The postings, Ojukwu said is sequel to the recommendation of the Commissioners to the Police Service Commission and its subsequent approval.

The CPs and their commands are as follows:

Usman Yakubu – Nasarawa

Isaac Gabriel Achong – Akwa Ibom

Paul Okafor – Kogi

Hyacinth Dagala – Benue

Idris Faruk umar – Jigawa

Salihu Garba – Kwara

A K Shodipo- Oyo

Abubakar Marafa – Osun

Clement Adoda – Borno

Kayode Aderanti – Lagos

Usman Baba – Delta

Dan Bature – Rivers

Karma Hosea Hassan – Anambra

Titilayo Busari – Cross Rivers

Valestine Ntomchukwu – Bayelsa

Fredrick Lakanu – Ekiti

Ademola Omole – Taraba

Olusola Emnauel – Niger

Adejoh Gabriel Adaji – Adamawa

Ishaku Barau – Kebbi
