IGP inaugurates Board of Police Health Maintenance Limited
The Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, on Thursday inaugurated the Board of Directors of the Police Health Maintenance Limited.
The PHML was incorporated on April 24, 2007 under the National Health Insurance Scheme as a Health Management Organisation.
It is aimed at ensuring that good quality care is provided by healthcare service providers to officers and men of the Nigeria Police among others.
Abba, who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors, charged members to exhibit sound corporate governance in their affairs.
Members of the Board are: DIG Hilary Opara (Vice Chairman), AIG Grace Okudo, CP Murtala Mani, DCP Muazu Abdullahi, DCP Esther Dimka, CSP Isyaku Mohammed, ASP Suleiman Idris Aliyu (Legal Adviser/Company Secretary) and Dr. Eneh Donald.
The IGP further used the forum to restate his commitment to provision of improved welfare to officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force.
