Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo, has completed a one-year loan move to championship side, Watford.
The 25-year-old striker arrives in England having been on loan at Granada, from parent club, Udinese, since signing for the Little Zebras in 2008.
“I have completed my loan switch to Watford. I passed a medical on Tuesday and deal is completed, everything is okay. I am happy,” said an elated Ighalo.
“It’s going to be a new challenge for me. I have played in Norway, Spain and Italy. I want a new challenge and Watford gave me that.”
Ighalo was Nigeria’s skipper at the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt.
He is on the books of Serie a club, Udinese, but has in the past two seasons been shipped out on loan to Spanish club Granada.
The forward bagged 17 goals in 27 games as Granada topped Segunda B in 2009/10 and since then has played regularly for the Spanish side in the Segunda Division and the top tier – Primera Division – following Granada’s promotion in 2010/11.
