Former Nigerian international, Odion Ighalo, was conspicuously missing as his Manchester United side bowed to a one nil defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Though reasons for Ighalo not being listed for action was sketchy as at press time, Fred, Nemanja Matic, Mason Greenwood, Edinson Cavani, Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek were favoured for the bench role.
Meanwhile, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s second-half penalty earned Arsenal the deserved win.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners impressed with their pressing play in a goalless first half, and earned all three points after Aubameyang converted from the spot following a foul by Paul Pogba on Hector Bellerin.
The result is United’s third home League defeat of the 2020/21 season, while Arsenal can reflect on another solid defensive performance as well as a key victory.
