Former Nigeria international, Odion Ighalo, failed to hit the back of the net as his Al Shabab suffered a 2-1 home loss to Al Fateh FC at the King Saud University Stadium on Wednesday.
The forward, who scored his first goal for Al Shabab last Saturday, in their 4-0 defeat of Al Nassr, was substituted after starring for 63 minutes.
He was replaced by Turki Al-Ammar.
Cristian Guanca fired Al Shabab ahead in the 43rd minute before Christian Cueva grabbed an equaliser for the visitors, while Mitchell the Vrede sealed victory for Al Fateh FC.
Despite the loss, Al Shabab still retains its top spot on the log with 38 points and would be aiming for redemption when they host Al Ahli on Monday.
Al Shabab has, so far, picked 11 wins, drawn five and lost three in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.
