Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, has hinted that he may resign after Nigeria’s participation at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
Keshi, who spoke during a press conference ahead of Wednesday’s semi-final clash against Mali, lamented that his effort at rebuilding the national team was not being appreciated.
Keshi said: “The most important thing is what I’m doing.
“If back home, they don’t like what I’m doing well, you can’t force someone to love you.
“If I win the cup, I may pack and leave.
“I’m a professional coach.
“Nigeria is where my heart is and if there’s any more offer out there….”
The former international also voiced his opinion on the proposed hiring of a foreign coach by Nigeria.
He said: “If we hire a quality coach from Europe that we can learn something from, I won’t have issues with that.
“But when they come from the backyard and parade themselves as expatriate coaches when they don’t know what ex-internationals like us know, then I am against it.”
