A Nigerian man has narrated how he ended up marrying his biological daughter and
having two kids with her.
The man, who called in during Gbenga Oyato’s radio show last week, recounted how he lost contact with a lady he dated in 1996, not knowing she was pregnant.
The man further explained that he later relocated to the United States of America and married a lady he met there for papers and they ended up having two kids together.
However upon getting to Nigeria for a visit in December 2020, his wife decided to take him to her mother.
The caller disclosed that he realised the neighbourhood looked familiar and he got shocked when they arrived at his father’s house.
Her mother had become the youngest wife of his father, but he said he doesn’t know if his father knew that the woman has given birth before.
The man disclosed that he found out that his father was now married to his former lover who he lost contact with and mother of his wife.
He also revealed that she never informed him that she was pregnant with his child, the lady he got married to in United States),after they went their separate ways.
He concluded the complicated story by saying only himself and his wife’s mother know about the true situation of things.
Father Arrested Over 11 year Old Daughter Sexual Harassment
The Bauchi State police command has arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly raping his11-year-old daughter.
The state Police Commissioner, Lawal Shehu, while parading the suspect alongside others at the police headquarters in Bauchi on Thursday, expressed worry over the increasing rate of rape cases in the state.
He vowed that all suspected rapists would be charged to court and prosecuted.
“Since January, we have arrested over 10 suspected rapists,” Mr. Shehu said. “Only this week, we recorded over five cases.
It is worrisome that among the suspects arrested include a 45-year-old man who raped his 11 years old daughter and two aged men who are between 45 to 54 years who raped toddlers of between two and four years.
“Any suspect arrested in connection to rape would be charged to court and be prosecuted because rape suspects will not be bailable.
Even when courts are on strike, the suspects will remain in detention till court resume and will be charge to court.”
The suspect, Abubakar Magaji, a resident of Liman Kagum in Bauchi LGA, said he engaged in the ugly act because his wife left him.
Mr. Magaji, a father of four confessed to have raped his daughter twice.
“I am ashamed of myself because it was temptation that led me to do it,” he said.
“I divorced her mother and married another wife but unfortunately my wife also left me a month ago so I needed a woman to be with so that was why I did it.”
“This is a shameful act that shouldn’t be heard of, I just hope that this case is handled with diligence and punishment melted out as due,” a neighbour commented.
