Former Governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has said he is not aware of a protest in which he has been named to partake in Lagos today.
The National Action Coalition of Democratic Forces had on Wednesday said Musa was billed to be a part of the protest meant to speak against the deployment of the military to quell protests against the government on the withdrawal of fuel subsidy and the unilateral decision of President Goodluck Jonathan to fix petrol price at N97.
A statement issued by Dr. Wale Balogun on behalf of the National Action Coalition of Democratic Forces said that Musa and other prominent Nigerians such as Prof. Ben Nwabueze, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite, Prof. Pat Utomi, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu, Dr. Federick Fasheun, Mrs. Ayo Obe, Ms Nike Ransome Kuti, Alhaji Shettimah Yerimah, Toyosi Akerele, Festus Keyamo, Femi Falana, Dr. Dipo Fashina, Dr. Arthur Nwakwo, Olisa Agbakoba, Rev. Moses Iloh, Dr. Lakin Akintola, Prof. Akin Oyebode, Nasseer Kurah, Mr. Collins Eselemo, Ms Funmi Iyanda, Veteran Olawale Okunniyi, Kola Oyeneyin, Ozoula Giwa Amu, Mr. Bamidele Aturu, Yemi Adamolekun and leaders of other civil society groups and mass movement in the country have decided to openly demonstrate their displeasure at the developments.
Musa told The Eagle Online in a telephone interview last night that he is not aware of any protest and was never invited to be a part of any.
“I am not aware of any protest in Lagos and was never invited to any,” Musa said.
