The Plateau State House of Assembly has threatened to invite anyone found guilty of misappropriating the funds of the state.
The Minority Whip, who is the member representing Pengana Constituency and the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts and Petitions, Hon. Gondina Sambo, made the position known, vowing to invite anybody, including Governor Jonah Jang and his cabinet, if they were found to be involved in misappropriation of state funds.
Sambo stated this in an interview with journalists at the NUJ Press Centre, Plateau State Council on Thursday.
He said that the House has no option than to embark on thorough investigation of everyone whose name is mention in the course of their findings.
He said: “We will implement all the necessary disciplinary measures in dealing with the investigation on SURE-P funds allegation against Governor Jonah David Jang and the state House of Assembly would take proactive measure toward tackling it with utmost respect.
