The Osun State Chapter of the Hope Democratic Party has urged Governor Gboyega Oyetola to prioritise security, welfare and job creation for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.
Wole Adedoyin, the state Chairman of the party, on Monday in Osogbo advised Oyetola to device another employment system apart from the current YESSO for the unemployed graduates and youths in the state.
HDP also urged him to use his first term in office to work on education, health, security, job creation, electricity and infrastructural development.
According to Adedoyin: “There is a lot to be done as far as the provision of basic amenities, provision of quality education and health of this state is concerned.
“The primary responsibility of government as entrenched in the constitution remains welfare and security of lives and properties.
“No economy thrives in an unsecured atmosphere will lead to political and economic stability.”
Adedoyin, who is also the Osun State Chairman of the Association of Progressive Political Parties, urged the Governor to focus on agriculture, education and health.
He said: “The three areas should be given better attention through proper funding, while job creation for our teeming unemployed youths in the state should be prioritized.”
