Gunmen on Monday shot dead two persons in Enugu, Enugu State.
They also injured several persons in an operation carried out on Monday afternoon.
Those killed have been identified as a driver with telecommunications company, MTN, and a commercial tricycle rider.
While the identity of the MTN driver could not be ascertained as at press time, the tricycle rider’s name was simply given as Praise.
The MTN driver, it was learnt, was a sales man, who sells airtime, popularly referred to as recharge card.
He was said to have been intercepted close to Mbanugo Bus Stop by the gunmen, who shot him at close range.
They took a yet-to-be-ascertained sum of money and airtime from him.
The tricycle rider was said to have been hit by a stray bullet from the shooting.
Others hit by the bullets from the gunmen are said to be receiving treatment in different hospitals in the state.
