A member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Nnenna Edu, has been kidnapped in Lagos State.
Edu, a staunch member of the RCCG, Good Shepard’s Pasture Parish, was abducted at gunpoint on Sunday alongside her driver in front of the church, near Ozone Cinema at Sabo-Yaba while trying to park her Black Toyota Corolla KZ 593 EKY car.
The Eagle Online gathered from friends who requested anonymity that her car was found same evening with her bag and shoes at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State where the tracker stopped the car.
An eyewitness said the armed men changed into a Honda car and drove away with Edu and the driver.
The source added: “The church has began a fasting and prayer session asking God for mercy, safe return and confusion in the camp of the enemy.”
Members of the public were also urged to give information about the abduction to the church at the nearest police station.
A member of the church, who requested anonymity, however, stated that the church does not want the news of the abduction published.
The source said: “It is true that she was kidnapped.
“You said you want to broadcast this?
“The church don’t want it published yet.”
However, the story is all over the social networks, especially Blackberry
