Gunmen have killed the Director of Operations of the Kaduna Geographic Information Service, Malam Dauda, in what is suspected to be a case of assassination.
The gunmen, said to be about five, reportedly killed him in his Barakallahu residence in Igabi Local Government Area.
They left without taking anything from the house, leaving behind a feeling of assassination.
The District Head of Barkallahu community, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi, confirmed the development to newsmen on Friday.
Abdullahi said the Divisional Police Officers of Rigachikun and Barnawa, who are residents of the community, have visited the scene of the crime.
He said it was “a case of assassination as the gunmen only went to the victim’s house, killed him and left the community without taking anything neither did they attack the guard,” adding that a neighbouring community was also attacked by the criminals, but there was no casualty.
He said: “We feel they just attacked the community to make it look like an attack.
“We have been facing various security breaches in the community informed by the vast ungoverned land taken over by the Nigerian Air Force.
