Ghanaian president suspends four judges

Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo, on Wednesday suspended four high court judges on the advice of the Judicial Council, a presidency statement said.
They are: Justice Uuter Dery, Justice Mustapha Logoh, Justice Gilbert Addo and Justice Charles Quist. The decision takes immediate effect.
The suspension follows the establishment of a prima facie case against the four Justices by the Committee set up by the Chief Justice to investigate alleged acts of bribery and corruption against certain persons.
This include the four Justices, as contained in the August 29, 2015 petition of ace journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, said the statement.
The judges were accused of taking bribes to set accused people free and rule in favour of those who paid bribes.
