Ghanaian defender, Basha Mohammed, may make his debut for Dolphins against Shooting Stars on Thursday in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Mohammed, who last played for Sun City FC in Ghana, just got his clearance to play for Dolphins in the NPFL.
Dolphins Head Coach, Stanley Eguma, has said Mohammed’s inclusion in the team as well as that of Ifeanyi Onuigbo, recently cleared from Hanoi T and T, is a boost to the team.
“We want to keep improving this team and we have carefully picked players we know will lead us to glory,” Eguma said.
“Our target remains to win a trophy this season or at least return to the continent and players like Onuigbo and Mohammed will be able to team up with other players we have in the fold already.
“We want to start by winning against Shooting Stars and after that we look at our next game on the road to ABS over the weekend in Ilorin.”
Basha Mohammed joins a long list of Ghanaian players who have featured for Dolphins in recent times.
Last season, Dolphins had Owusu Addae, Seidu Abuu and James Amankwei on its books while Isaac Amponsah played for the Garden City-based club three seasons ago.
