The French Coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo to the ongoing African Nations Cup in South Africa, Claude Le Roy, insists Ghana are still favourites to win the 2013 Nations Cup despite holding them to a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
The Black Stars threw away a two-goal lead to share the spoils with the Leopards in the opening Group B fixture in Port Elizabeth.
The four-time African champions missed a unique opportunity to make a strong statement of intent.
But Le Roy, who steered Ghana to a third place finish at the 2008 Nations Cup on home soil, is adamant the Black Stars alongside Ivory Coast are the teams to beat at the tournament.
Le Roy said: “They convinced me.
“Ghana and Ivory Coast are both good.”
