Galatasaray are planning to sign Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi on loan, according to Takvim.
The Turkish newspaper reports that sporting director Cenk Ergun is in charge of negotiations for the 21-year-old, and they say the official is prepared to travel to England next week to seal a deal if they receive a positive response from the Gunners.
The Super Lig club’s interest has no doubt been sparked by Iwobi’s lack of game time for Arsenal so far this season.
The switch to a back three makes it more challenging for wingers to be included in the starting 11, and despite starting the Community Shield victory against Chelsea at the beginning of the month, the Nigerian has only made the bench for the first two Premier League games.
Still, it would be surprising if manager Arsene Wenger decided to let Iwobi leave on loan considering his progress over the last year, and he will no doubt get more time on the pitch during the Europa League group stages, and the early rounds of the Carabao Cup.
