Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, otherwise known as Jenifa, has rolled out plans for 2015 regarding her career.
Akindele, according to a statement made available to The Eagle Online, said she would be more creative and churn out fantastic entertainment contents that will be more attune to her several fans across the word.
Akindele, who has been on perpetual rise in the recent time following her successful character in her award wining movie, Jenifa, promised a more engaging plan in the new year.
While her popularity continues to soar each day, she is not resting on her oars.
Akindele, in 2014, did not only grab attention for her movie roles, she also clinched several awards, laurels and consolidated and carted away many major endorsement deals.
Owing to her consistency and popularity, she is still poised to rule the entertainment world this new year.
Akindele, in her words, said: “I actually wanted the character to take a deserving rest but I’m amazed that many years after, this Jenifa’s character still resonates.
“Anywhere I go, it’s welcome and people love to see, hear that part of Jenifa in me.
“I want to believe that my portrayal of Jenifa this time will be loved more by the viewers of the drama series.
“There will be more chemistry with co-actors.
“I must quickly add that a good number of actors in the original Jenifa are involved alongside new faces and that will be the high light of the show.”
Like most creative people, Akindele is inherently curious and dares to ask questions, seek and attempt solutions in her talk show.
She interviewed some compelling personalities with strengths and weaknesses, all in an attempt to maintain her audience’s trust.
With Jenifa’s character getting more prominent in the coming TV series, viewers will see various shades of her talent on Radio and TV too.
She added: “We are doing a talk show.
“It has been in offing for so long.
“It is coming out.
“It’s a reality TV show that will touch the nerve of our socio-political existence.
“It’s beautifully scripted.
“To me, it’s a gift of laughter, knowledge and enlightenment to my fans and lovers of good art.”
