The governors who belong to states in the Niger Delta Development Commission, including their Chairman and Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, after their meeting at new Government House, Asaba, which ended at 2am on Sunday, beamed the searchlight on all outstanding funds to execute “major legacy programmes” for sustainable development of the region.
The Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, flanked by his colleagues from Bayelsa, Cross River States, Seriake Dickson and Liyel Imoke, and the deputy governors of Rivers and Imo States, told newsmen at about 2.15am that the NDDC Advisory Governors’ Council charged all defaulting states to redeem their image without further delay.
Mimiko said his colleagues have resolved to embark on generational projects that would boost the transformational policies of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The governors stopped over for the meeting while on their way from their solidarity rally in Benin, Edo State for the President’s transformational agenda.
