The Federal Road Safety Corps has announced the diversion of traffic from all roads into and out of Osun State following the conduct of local government election.
The announcement and provision of alternative routes was made by the FRSC’s Corps Public Education Officer, Commander Bisi Kazeem, on Saturday.
Kazeem said those going from Ibadan in Oyo State to Akure in Ondo State can still use the usual route of Gbongan-Ile Ife-Ilesa-Ipetu-Ijesa-Akure as there would not be any restrictions whatsoever on the route.
He said the same route is advised to be used by motorists going to Ondo town as they will not be allowed into Ile-Ife town enroute Ondo.
Motorists going to Ilorin, Kwara State from the Akure flank are to access their destination through Ekiti State.
Kazeem added: “However motorists are advised to exercise some patience till 3pm when the election would have been concluded and free traffic flow restored fully.”
