A reliable source at the Force Headquarters in Abuja has told The Eagle Online that four other women and a driver were kidnapped along with Margaret, the wife of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
Margaret was kidnapped on Thursday along the Benin-Agbor Expressway.
As earlier first exclusively reported by The Eagle Online, the kidnappers have demanded for a ransom of N100 million.
A top police source, however, told The Eagle Online that it was not only Margaret that was kidnapped.
The source said: “Though for their security I will not disclose those with the wife of the Governor (Godwin Emefiele), I can tell you that five other persons were kidnapped along with her.
“They are her driver and four other women with whom she was travelling.”
As reported earlier, the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team has been deployed alongside other crack detectives of the Nigeria Police to rescue the victims.
