Transparency International Nigeria on Wednesday asked President Muhammadu Buhari to take action on the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, and the Special Assistant to the President on Prosecution, Okoi Obono-Obla, who were accused of forging their credentials.
While Obono-Obla was accused of forgery of his West African Examination Council certificate by a House of Representatives Panel, Adeosun was said to have forged her National Youth Service Corps discharge certificate.
TI, on its Twitter handle, said: “The SA to the President on Prosecution, Okoi Obono-Obla has been accused of forgery of WAEC certificate. The WAEC Registrar testified before the @HouseNGR that the result was altered & thus invalid. He was indicted in July 2018, but no action was taken by the Presidency.
“It is one month since the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun was accused of forgery and no single word from her or the Presidency.”
