A Ghana-based airline, Fly540Africa, is putting finishing touches to the commencement of flight operations between Accra and Nigeria.
According to the Marketing Officer of Fly540Africa, Joel Chudleigh, the airline, in addition to the planned introduction of the Nigeria route, also has its eyes on Togo, Burkina Faso and Liberia.
This, Chudleigh said, would be done before the end of the year.
He said that at present, the airline flies to locations within Ghana and to Angola.
Among routes the airline flies to within Ghana are Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale.
For Angola, it plies Luanda, Soyo, Cabinda, Benguela, Lubango and Huambo.
Chudleigh said of the airline with its website at http://fly540africa.com/: “We have been operating in East Africa for some time but are now expanding into West Africa with the intention of opening up new routes to better enable West Africans and tourists alike to get around quickly and easily.
“We will also soon be merging companies under the Fastjet brand – you can read more on the acquisition here:http://www.fastjet.com/.…
“We have a keen focus on price, but this is of course secondary to our safety and customer service levels.”
