The National Emergency Management Agency said it has recovered five more bodies from the scene of the accident of the commuter bus that plunged into a river on the Benin-Sagamu Expressway on October 19.
The Ogun State Public Relations Officer of the NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, said 18 bodies have so far been recovered from the scene of the accident involving p[assengers who were bound for a funeral in Benin City, Edo State.
Three passengers survived the plunge into the river at J4 area in Ogun State.
Farinloye said: “All the remaining five bodies have been discovered this morning, bringing the total to 21 as Madam Christina Umwena, a survivor, revealed that 21 people were on board.
“Families of the victims have been collecting the remains of their relations at the Ijebu-Ode General Hospital.”
